To be frank, I had reservations about air fryers UNTIL I tried making these air fryer chicken thighs. Let me assure you, these chicken thighs are the juiciest I've ever tasted, without exaggeration.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp Freshly cracked pepper
  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (about 2.25 lbs.)
  • 1 Tbsp cooking oil

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Combine the cornstarch, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, cayenne, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Dry the chicken thighs thoroughly with a paper towel.
  3. Place the chicken thighs in a bowl and drizzle with cooking oil, then add the cornstarch and spice mixture. Toss the chicken thighs until they are thoroughly coated in oil and spices.
  4. Arrange the chicken thighs in the air fryer basket, skin side up, and cook for 10 minutes. Flip the chicken thighs and cook for an additional 8 minutes.
  5. Flip once more so the skin side is facing up and cook for two more minutes. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit; if not, continue cooking for 1-2 minutes. Serve the chicken thighs hot with your preferred simple accompaniments!
